A beautiful deluxe copy of this childhood classic. Fiver, a runty young rabbit with a prophetic gift, has a terrifying vision which foretells the imminent destruction of his home, Sandleford Warren. Attempts by Fiver and his brother Hazel to convince their Chief Rabbit of the need to evacuate fail. The two brothers then set out to convince others in the warren of the threat and the need to flee, but they can only rouse nine followers, all bucks. Believing Sandleford to be doomed the small band flee the warren towards an uncertain future, with Captain Holly, head of the warren’s security, on their tails. But nothing can prepare them for the monstrous General Woundwort.
